Dustin Farris
Dustin has been with PURSUE Energy Services
from its inception. Apart from this venture
he has participated in the electricity market
in some form his entire life. His father
has worked at a power plant for the TXU system
for 30 years. He gained valuable real world
experience in both the regulated and deregulated
power markets by his father and through work
related to a major incumbent utility in Texas.
While at Baylor
University he participated in a corporate
rotational program within TXU to prepare the
company for the revolutionary change associated
with deregulation. While participating
in this program, Dustin worked in every major
segment of the business: Pipeline, Transmission,
Right of Way, Sales, Telecom, and Trading (Power
and Gas).
While in the trading organization Dustin participated
in every wholesale market in the country. He
gained an understanding of how the price of power
and gas move relative to market variables. He
has experience in ERCOT, MAPP, WSCC, Entergy,
NYPOOL, NEPOOL, and SERC.
Dustin is delighted to be in this business. He
looks forward to assisting and educating clients
in this volatile, revolutionary market.
Dustin completed a B.B.A. degree from Baylor
University in the area of Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Jamie Rainey
Jamie has recently joined the Pursue Energy
Services team for the West Texas region. She
brings with her an extensive knowledge of the
regulated and deregulated energy business. She
joined West Texas Utilities Company (WTU) in
1975. Throughout her 27 year career at
WTU and American
Electric Power (AEP) she held management
positions in Marketing, Customer Service, and
Community Service. From 1990 through 2000
she was responsible for 58,430 electric customers
in 21 communities throughout West Texas stretching
from Winters to Presidio. Those responsibilities
included electric reliability, customer service,
sales, economic development, legislative affairs,
and media relations. WTU sold to AEP in
2000 at which time Jamie became the Southwest
Region Manager of Community Services for AEP. In
that role she was very much involved in economic
development, governmental affairs, the advancement
of the corporation’s business and public
policy initiatives, and Customer Choice education. She
assisted and educated customers throughout the
transition from a regulated electric industry
to a deregulated electric industry with Customer
Choice.
Jamie left the electric industry in September
of 2002 to become the Community Affairs Vice
President for the Shannon
Health System where she remained until joining
the Pursue Energy Services team.
In addition to her extensive electric utility
background she understands the needs of business. She
has been a small business owner, served as Chairman
for the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, Chairman
of Priority One (Economic Development), and Chairman
of the Employer Services Committee for the Concho
Valley Workforce Development Board. She
is currently serving her second term on the San
Angelo City Council representing Single Member
District 1.
Jamie graduated from Angelo
State University with a Bachelor of Science
in Education. She is also a graduate
of the Texas
A&M Executive Development Program and
The Executive Program – Darden
Graduate School of Business Administration,
at the University
of Virginia.
She is delighted to return to the electric industry
and looks forward to assisting clients find the
best possible price for energy in this new arena
of Customer Choice.
Robert Crews
Robert has recently joined the Pursue Energy
Services team to represent the North-East Texas
region. He brings years of experience on
the utility and account management side of the
business all up and down the Red River. Robert
spent 22 years with the largest electricity and
gas retailer in the nation, TXU,
serving power and gas users all over Northeastern
Texas from Paris to Tyler to Sherman.
In this function, he was an integral part of
reliability correspondence for hundreds of commercial
and industrial accounts. Robert brings
broad understanding of how customers can more
efficiently use power along with time tested
ways to estimate demand flows from the power
plant to the customer motor or lighting system. He
also brings Pursue knowledge in respect of how
power flows around the ERCOT grid to better predict
reliability estimates.
Robert graduated from Texas
State Technical College in Waco, Texas
with a Utility Grid Management degree. He
has given hundreds of talks and consulting
venues over the past 20 years to customers
and communities concerning utility management.
Robert looks forward to continue serving all
of his many trusted relationships with the same
open and friendly approach he has taken in years
past.
Clay Gibson
Clay has been a part of the Pursue Energy team
since its inception, he primarily focuses on electricity
procurement, marketing, public relations, and
community and customer service aspect of the
business. Clay has been on the front end
of the deregulated market, serving as an energy
consultant by educating large industrial and
small commercial customers in aspects of energy
procurement. Clay also serves as the Regional
Sales Manager for the West Texas Region. He
is a graduate of Baylor
University were he received a B.B.A. in Business
Entrepreneurship with a minor in Corporate Communications.
While at Baylor Clay started the “Governor’s
Symposium on Economic Development through Entrepreneurship” hosted
at Baylor University, Waco, Texas. He Conceptualized,
planned and hosted the first-ever statewide symposium
showcasing entrepreneurial successes of Texas
high school students; solicited and obtained
support of then-Governor George W. Bush and Baylor’s
John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship. The
Governor’s Symposium is an on going project
that has brought a new meaning to the Young Texas
Entrepreneur.
While at Baylor Clay was asked by the Deputy
Commissioner for Curriculum at the Texas Education
Agency, and the Executive Director of REAL, to
act as the state and national spokesman for the
Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning
(REAL) curriculum. While being the spokesman
Clay taught and educated over 3,000 teachers,
administrators and trustees about the importance
of entrepreneurial curriculum at the high school
and collegiate level.
Clay is the president and general manager of
Captive Audience Inc. Captive Audience solicits
and sells advertising to area and nationwide
businesses that benefit by selling goods and
services to high school and college age students.
Adam Zack
A recent addition to PURSUE Energy Services, Adam has been involved with a various number of financial markets as well as the electricity market. Adam’s past pursuits include working for a large consulting firm from which he reported on several energy contracts. On the investment side of the business, he worked for a well respected full service investment bank in the equity research department. Adam’s work along with lead analysts helped to put out sought after sell side research on international oil and gas.
While at The University of Texas, Adam was chosen to be involved in the Financial Analyst Program (F.A.P). This renowned program allowed Adam to conduct financial analysis on equities held by The University of Texas at Austin MBA Investment Fund LLC. The fund has $14 million under management, and has been trading debt and equity for over 10 years.
A consummate people person, Adam is excited about educating the clients of PURSUE Energy Services as well as maintaining long relationships through intelligent, prompt, and courteous service.
Adam earned his B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin. |
