PURSUE Energy Services (PES) is a physical and financial energy risk management consultant which focuses primarily on customers involved in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) retail market.  PES is not in the business of selling products, but rather educating and advising their clients on all their purchasing options and then making sure they attain the most efficient pricing possible.

Our primary goal is to help our clients attain their lowest possible energy costs regardless of their risk or budget profile without ever compromising reliability.  PES accomplishes this by leveraging their skills, experience, and relationships in the regulated and deregulated energy markets.  PES has intricate understanding of the current wholesale electricity, natural gas and fuel oil markets and the value of all their derivatives.  Additionally, PES employees have an excellent understanding of any possible pricing trends or changes in the fundamental and technical structure of these markets.  These skills become invaluable when the time comes to help our clients make the most informed decisions.

Our experience includes over 20 years in trading and marketing of the energy, investment banking, and insurance businesses.  PES has extensive relationships with all the utilities, energy marketers, banks and brokers involved in the ERCOT market.  Working for and with many of these companies, PES knows how to cut through many of the “middle-men” of these large companies and obtain price quotes directly from the wholesale desk.  This eliminates the extra cost incurred paying for the overhead of large marketing organizations.  Additionally, PES’s extensive derivatives expertise will help clients dissect particular structured product offerings from these energy supplying companies and determine their added theoretical value.  This knowledge will insure that our clients are entering into transactions that accurately reflect the markets.
